School History
The kindergarden was founded by M. Imthiaz Abdul Samad and Nazrana Imthiaz, it began operations in 2004 to provide a play way method of education in Kandy, an impulse to start a primary school materialized and the Elementary school began in 2013 which provides an active based learning for all primary students. The school is situated in the hill capital of Sri Lanka which is known as the heritage city. The school started with a student population of 07 at the play school and now the school has over 170 students. Over the years the structure of the school has changed and it has been transformed with a new building & many facilities for the students. The name of the Elementary school has been changed to Darwin College from September 2019. Since inception we have followed the open classroom concept and it has been very successful over the years. As the school grew many extra – curricular activities have been introduced over the years for the students to participate. Darwin College and Elementary got its approval from Edexcel as a centre to offer Academic Qualification in April 2017. Throughout our history, the school community has remained committed to creating an environment in which students are known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow. Schools are places that provide growth to the human spirit. Our school and the people who make up 'our school', are committed to providing a quality educational experience that is consistent.
